In survey, design and consulting fields, our main services including consulting and planning, feasibility studies and survey and design, R&D, and construction supervision for railways, high ways, urban rail transit, bridges, tunnels, building construction, power, electrification, communications, and signal engineering. Since its establishment, CREC has participated in the construction of several major railways in China such as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway which is the world’s first plateau railway. Other significant accomplishments include: 

  • Daqin Railway (the longest heavy haul railway in China)
  • Chengdu-Kunming Railway (a railway construction project with the most complex geological structures in the area)
  • The Jingjiu Railway (the longest North-South railway in China connecting Beijing to Hong Kong)
  • Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway (China’s first electrified railway with the speed of 200km/hour)
  • Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Railway (the first large-scale infrastructure project jointly constructed in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau) 

CREC has accomplished the construction of all four vertical passenger lines and high-speed railways in China; with the Qinhuangdao-Shenyang Railway. A product of China's own research, design and construction, this railway is the first high-speed passenger dedicated line with the speed of 200 km/h). 

Another world’s first project accomplished by CREC is the Harbin-Dalian High-Speed ​​Rail, the first ever high-speed passenger dedicated line passing through alpine regions. Other CREC completed projects include: 

  • Jingghu High Speed Rail (China's strategic transportation project for North-to-South area, and China’s first landmark railroad with advanced world standards technology)
  • Qinghai-Tibet Electrified Railway from Xining to Golmud (the first electrified railway in China to pass through the plateau 3,000 meters above sea level)

CREC has made its mark spanning across China’s provinces, cities, autonomous regions and municipalities. Thanks to its extensive railway design and construction experience, CREC has also successfully completed the Sabah Railway Improvement Project. 

Additionally, CREC is involved in the construction of a four-electrical engineering system for the railways. The company has constructed large railway stations including the Beijing Railway Station, Nanjing Railway Station, Chengdu Railway Station, Lasa Station and many other large railway stations.

Adhering to the purpose of striving for first-class products, the company consistently carries out railway construction with scientifically organised comprehensive management, and continues to fulfill the task of railway construction with strict standards of safety and high quality.



CREC is an outstanding enterprise in China's road construction industry. Since the 1980s, it began to engage in road construction and has participated in the construction of expressway projects in China. We have completed more than 1,000 kilometers of road construction annually with 70% accounting for highway construction. The completion of road construction amounts to 28 million square meters per year, which is the highest in the industry.



CREC holds the qualification for professional contracting of urban rail transit engineering in China and the qualification for general contracting for construction of municipal public works – all of which are employed to build various types of municipal engineering and urban rail transit projects such as the South-North Water Transfer Project and the Yellow River Crossing Project. 

Furthermore, CREC has participated in metro and rail transit projects in many large and medium-sized cities in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Suzhou, Changsha, Wuhan, Kunming, Dalian, Qingdao, Shijiazhuang, Chengdu, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Shenyang, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Wuxi, Nanchang, Harbin and etc. 

On the national level, CRECM has successfully constructed the MRT Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects. The company has implemented cutting-edge and advanced construction technology in the construction of subways and urban rails, thus accumulating a wealth of subway construction experience and scientific construction methods.
